Established preschool program in Sellwood seeks an exceptional Assistant Teacher who loves working with children ages two to five. Must be energetic, kind, personable, and eager to learn. Low student:teacher ratio, wonderful families and co-workers. Also open to hiring an experienced teacher to co-teach.
Hours for this position are 8:30-11:45 AM and/or 12:30-4:30 PM. Four paid break weeks (March, June, August, and December), plus all major holidays off. Our curriculum is play-based and child-centered, with an emphasis on social-emotional learning. We spend lots of time outdoors, rain or shine, and our program includes process art, sensory exploration, music and movement, literature, cooking, and gardening.
